How much does a session cost? And how long are sessions?
My sessions are $120(CAN) including GST, and are 1.5 hours long.
Where does the name Rolfing come from?
Rolfing Structural Integration is the culmination of work of Dr. Ida P. Rolf. She called it Structural Integration, but early clients and students thought “Rolfing” was a better moniker for it.
Is Rolfing painful?
Yes and no. Rolfing is usually more intense than other forms of bodywork/massage and has a reputation of being painful. Some have said it’s like the Buckley’s cough syrup of bodywork, it’s tough, but it works!
How long has Rolfing been around?
The Rolf Institute was established in 1971, but Rolfing was being taught in the late ’50′s at the Esalen Institute in Big Sur California.
