I was there for a Rolfing workshop on Unresolved Trauma. We (the class) learned many new ways to allow the body to process unresolved traumas. Fascinating information.
The class included many exercises to heighten touch sensitivities and work with ‘stuck’ energy. So much was learned it’s difficult to put into a short post.
Of course I took in many of the sights in and around Austin, including Texas Barbecue, Barton Springs, awesome live music, and Enchanted Rock.

Edmonton has a plethora of restaurants, shopping, yoga studios, live music, clubs, nature trails, coffee roasters/shops, farmers markets, etc.
If you’re unfamiliar with Edmonton, please let me know if I can give you any directions or recommendations while you’re here. It’s always much more pleasant to visit a place when you can ‘ask a local’ or ‘know a local’.

When you’re “getting out there” this summer be sure not to over do it with activities you haven’t done since last year. Make sure to build up some stamina for swimming, or paddling, or whatever else you love to do in the warmer months. Pay attention to your body, and you’ll enjoy yourself a lot more, and have a lot less pain and physical discomfort.

Good Day!
Breath is very important as we all know, but how often do you consciously breath? Conscious breathing is both great for relaxing you, but can help get rid of aches and pains.
Most people never think about breathing unless they have a cold or are a smoker. While walking or exercising practice conscious breathing and see how you feel. Conscious breath is best practiced outside in the fresh air, but inside is fine , too. Try it if you’re tired or stressed or can’t recall something…you may be suprised how your state improves!
40% of the oxygen in our bodies is used by our brains!

Walking on a variety of terrain helps work core balance muscles as well as keeping your feet and legs more adaptable. For a real workout try trudging through the deep snow as far as you can. Feel those core muscles burn!
