When I was fifteen years old, I was diagnosed with scoliosis (lateral twisting of the spine) and 37 degrees of curvature. Rather than have surgery, I got Rolfed instead, which straightened me out considerably. This early life experience set the stage for my future vocation.
Alternative and complimentary treatments have always been of keen interest to me. After years of study and experience, I’ve learned that laughter is still one of the best and cheapest medicines around!
Rolfing isn’t my only passion. Local food/nutrition, gardening, outdoor fitness, handy manning, fermented sugars, and travel top my list. In 2003, I took singing lessons and have been hanging out at Karaoke bars ever since.
To further my skills as a Rolfer, I regularly attend continuing education courses and read up on new fascial and boimechanical research.
A few of my favorite additional trainings are nerve work, visceral (organ) work, resolving trauma, isometric joint release/muscle energy technique, and dowel therapy.
Need a Place to travel? I highly recommend Boulder, Colorado. Beautiful Rocky Mountains, great microbrews, sunshine, and of course the Rolf Institute where I did my Rolfing training (Certified 2000).
